When it comes to “996,” it often brings exhaustion and frustration to those who experience it — long days, endless overtime, and relentless pressure. However, there is one company whose “996” has not only been recognized by third-party institutions, but can even be upgraded to “997.” Sounds quite unconventional, doesn’t it?

Alright, let me reveal it — that company is Renjie Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. With an impressive dust removal efficiency of 99.6%–99.7%, Renjie Intelligent obtained the first photovoltaic intelligent cleaning robot certification issued by the Beijing Certification Center. Moreover, thanks to its outstanding safety performance, the company also received CE certification from TÜV SÜD, earning wide recognition from end users.

As Ji Zhenshuang, Deputy Director of the CGC Certification Center, pointed out, intelligence is a key direction for the future development of the photovoltaic industry, and cleaning robots are an essential tool for intelligent operation and maintenance of power stations. Following the release of the CGC/GF 172:2020 “Technical Specification for Dry Cleaning Robots for Photovoltaic Modules” in March this year, Renjie Intelligent took the lead in commissioning CGC Certification Center to conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of its photovoltaic intelligent cleaning robots. The assessment covered dimensions, dust removal performance, mobility, cleaning-induced damage, control functions, protection functions, alarm systems, environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, operational reliability, and battery performance. The results showed that Renjie Intelligent’s PR100 cleaning robot achieved a dust removal efficiency of 99.6%–99.7%, far exceeding relevant standard requirements. It also met key performance indicators including obstacle-crossing capability of no less than 50 mm and climbing capability of no less than 20°. As a result, it became the first intelligent cleaning robot in China to obtain this certification.

Hu Yuran, General Manager of Renjie Intelligent, told Sobi PV Network that before launching this robot, the company had already accumulated four years of R&D experience and deployed the product across more than 200 MW of photovoltaic power stations. Based on feedback from owners and operation personnel, the use of cleaning robots delivers significant power generation gains. “The benefits mainly come from two aspects: timely cleaning reduces shading from dust and bird droppings, and it also prevents long-term localized shading that can cause hot spots. This ensures system safety while increasing energy output,” she explained.

According to statistics, by the end of 2019, global photovoltaic installed capacity had exceeded 600 GW and continued to grow rapidly at a rate of over 100 GW per year. “Even if only 20% of power stations adopt cleaning robots, it would represent an enormous market,” Hu Yuran said with confidence about the company’s future development.

Zhu Jiapeng, R&D Director of Renjie Intelligent, added that compared with manual cleaning, robots can maintain modules in optimal operating condition through high-frequency cleaning. The process is more intelligent and efficient, while also being safer and more convenient for maintenance personnel. “Cleaning 100 kW of modules takes no more than 15 minutes. This significantly improves efficiency and eliminates inconsistencies associated with manual cleaning. In regions with frequent sand and dust, daily cleaning is possible to minimize power loss. In such cases, the investment cost of installing cleaning robots can be recovered within approximately two years.”

Among many industries, the photovoltaic sector is perhaps unique in that technological innovation aims to make products cheaper rather than more expensive. Zhu Jiapeng revealed that after several years of technological iteration, intelligent cleaning robots have become lighter in weight and lower in cost.

Hu Yuran concluded that as global photovoltaic project规模 continues to expand, intelligent cleaning robots will find broader application scenarios. Currently, cleaning equipment is becoming increasingly adaptable and is no longer limited to flat-ground power stations. She believes that in the future development of the photovoltaic market, intelligent cleaning robots will provide stronger保障 for system power generation and may even become a standard configuration — the optimal solution for comprehensive cleaning operations at power stations.
