President Xi Jinping visited Riyadh from December 7 to 10 to attend the first China–Arab States Summit, the China–Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, and to conduct a state visit to Saudi Arabia. On December 8, CCTV’s “International News” program focused on the Saudi Red Sea New City project, reporting on the 406MW photovoltaic power plant project where Renjie Intelligent provided intelligent cleaning robots.
The project was invested in by ACWA Power and constructed under EPC general contracting by Shandong Electric Power Construction Corporation No. 3. Due to the project’s location in a desert environment with strong winds, sandstorms, and high temperatures, more than 1,000 sets of intelligent cleaning robots were deployed. Renjie Intelligent customized an intelligent cleaning solution for the project, designed to withstand high temperatures and strong winds, and to be compatible with tracking mounting systems.
“Local conditions in Saudi Arabia involve strong winds and sand, and water resources are relatively scarce. Using intelligent cleaning robots offers several advantages: on the one hand, no water is required for cleaning; on the other hand, the robots are equipped with their own photovoltaic panels and batteries, ensuring continuous operation and saving a significant amount of labor and costs in future operation and maintenance,” said Liu Qinghua, Manager of the Power Command Center of Shandong Electric Power Construction at the Red Sea New City project.
In addition to the Red Sea project, Renjie Intelligent has also participated in photovoltaic projects in Rabigh, Jubail, Thuwal, and other locations in Saudi Arabia, continuously providing the Middle East energy market with more reliable, economical, and hassle-free intelligent cleaning solutions, and becoming a key intelligent cleaning robot enterprise in the region.
