Recently, the Samarkand and Jizzakh photovoltaic power plants in Uzbekistan achieved their first batch of grid-connected power generation. Sunpure  supplied nearly 1,000 suspended photovoltaic cleaning robots for these projects, with a total covered capacity exceeding 500MW. Among them, the Samarkand intelligent cleaning project was reported by the international edition of People’s Daily, becoming another highlight of cooperation between the two countries in the field of clean energy. The Samarkand photovoltaic power plant project is one of Uzbekistan’s first large-scale new energy projects, located in the southeastern wasteland of the country. Covering an area of 5.13 million square meters, it consists of 450,000 photovoltaic modules with a total installed capacity of 220MW. After full-capacity grid connection, the project is expected to generate 1.12 billion kWh of electricity annually, supplying power to 240,000 households and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 1 million tons each year.

Due to the increasingly severe local dust conditions, in order to reduce soiling losses and ensure power generation, the power plant integrated a tracking mounting system and Renjie Intelligent’s photovoltaic cleaning system during the early design stage. In this project, each single robot covers a length of up to 2.4 kilometers, currently the longest known among global projects. Renjie Intelligent adopted technical measures such as using high-power modules, reducing system energy consumption, and improving component durability, while creatively implementing a dual docking station solution in certain areas to meet the long-distance cleaning requirements of a single robot. This solution not only effectively reduced system deployment costs and helped lower the LCOE, but also maximized the operational efficiency of photovoltaic cleaning robots, achieving the dual benefits of “tracking + intelligent cleaning.” The initial grid connection of these two major projects in Uzbekistan marks another milestone for Renjie Intelligent in supporting energy transformation in Central Asia. To date, Renjie Intelligent has signed contracts covering over 2GW of capacity in the Central Asia region, continuously contributing to carbon neutrality efforts along the Belt and Road Initiative.
